Happy Clients!

It was great catching up with Gary McManus, the MD of McManus Pubs to review results of the refurbishment of The Fox and Hounds, Northamptonshire after the first month of trading. The “sparkle” project was on site for just two weeks and saw the pub transformed from a traditional wet-lead suburban pub to a busy contemporary but welcoming space which has seen a massive boost in sales particularly the popularity of the food offer. Gary tells us;

“We love how the pub has turned out from a traditional pub to an bright contemporary design…The customers love it and we predict it is going to be a roaring success…all credit to Abi and the team.

The Fox and Hounds is a busy suburban pub on a busy main route to Northampton. Refreshing and improving the curb appeal of the exterior has brought a dramatic increase in new customers. The new interior design has updated and brightened the traditional look of the pub but retained a cosy welcoming atmosphere. However, it was vital that our design was sympathetic to the pub’s history and retained the loyalty of existing customers.

By up-cycling many existing elements kept the overall budget low. Key elements leading to the the ‘wow factor’ included alterations to the back bar and an illuminated bottle store. Externally we designed an illuminated and heated pergola area with fixed booths which have proved hugely popular.

After just two weeks onsite the transformation is fantastic and sales have increased above expectations.
