June 2020 - Hospitality Design Report

Whilst there is a desire from many customers to be allowed to return to their favourite venues, this will undoubtedly be accompanied by nervousness over how safe it is to do so, and concern that post-lockdown bars and restaurants will  lack atmosphere or appeal. Operators will be keen to follow guidance issued on social distancing measures and considering how this impacts on operations as well as their customers, staff and suppliers.

As the potential realities of what we all hope will be a short term phase post lockdown sink in, there has been much conversation and speculation over how social distancing guidelines can be implemented in hospitality venues.

Publican Awards 2020

Our Creative Director Abi Perry-Jones was invited again to lend her design expertise and join the jury for the annual Publican Awards this week. The shortlisted venues for the Best New Pub/Bar 2020 category were all really strong contenders for the award. The Angel Hotel

We’ve been busy working with the team at The Angel Hotel in Leamington Spa on the design of four new executive suites. The suites are to be constructed in part of the hotel previously used for events so our involvement begun with designing a new layout plan. The characterful hotel was designed in the Regency period and retains many original features.

Redevelopment of award-winning pub

We’re delighted to share the results of one of our latest projects - an extensive refurbishment of The Cross Keys pub in Great Woolstone, Milton Keynes.  The project has doubled the number of restaurant covers in the Charles Wells premises, and includes an extension to the historic building in a conservation area.
