jones architecture + design returns to the queen’s head

After assisting Red Mist Leisure six years ago with the extension and restoration of the Grade Two Listed Queen’s Head in East Clandon, Surrey, it is great to return to the site to refresh and update the interior design.

The popular village pub and dining destination has some great original features to work with such as flagstone floors and exposed brick. It was important that the new elements worked with the building’s character and retained the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We helped give the interior a new lease of life by adding new finishes, light fittings and furniture whilst reupholstering and painting lots of the existing furniture.

After obtaining Listed Building Consent, we were able to form a small opening to link two two small dining areas which helped improved the flow of the space.

With just one week on site and a budget of less than £150,000 the pub has been given a new lease of life and sales have increased as a result. Click here to read more;

Mark Williams, director of RML commented “It is great to work with Jones AD again. Their designers are highly skilled, creative and have extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry and have always delivered every project on time and within budget.
