This year, Hospitality businesses from across the country rose to the challenge and entered The Publican Awards (https://publicanawards.co.uk), putting themselves through a rigorous judging process to showcase the very best in the business. Our Creative Director Abi Perry-Jones has once again been asked to be part of the jury to review finalists in the Best New Site category. The winners of all categories will be announced at the Publican Awards Event on the 25th March which is a spectacular celebration of the sector’s top-performing operators and rising stars, bringing together the biggest names in British pubs to honour excellence, innovation and leadership.
Competition in the Best New Site category is tough but we can reveal the shortlisted finalists below;
- Babble – Vicarious Pub Co and the Crafthouse Collective
- The White Horse & Bower – Shepherd Neame
- The Station House – Almond Pubs
- Molly Mcs – Windmill Taverns
- The Mitre Inn – Glastonbury Pubs
- The Hoxton Hound – Brewhouse and Kitchen
Judges are looking for evidence of:
- How successfully the site was redeveloped
- Effective use of design and space
- Strong marketing and promotion of the new site
- Effective launch campaign
- Details of the site’s success around food, drinks, entertainment etc
- Approach to staff recruitment and training
- How trade has successfully been developed given the market conditions
