Creating a Memorable First Impression at an Iconic London Hotel

As part of a broader brand refresh, we were commissioned to develop a new Sense of Arrival concept for The Marble Arch Hotel. Our design approach followed the guest journey from the hotel entrance through to check-in, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience that reflects the evolving identity of the property.

We led a comprehensive refurbishment of both the ground floor entrance lobby and the first-floor check-in area.

The scheme introduced updated finishes, a refreshed colour palette, bespoke lighting, and carefully selected furniture—all designed and specified to express the new brand character. A striking mural, inspired by the hotel’s iconic London location, was created as a key feature adjacent to the escalator leading to the main reception area. Additionally, we designed custom reception desks and self check-in joinery to support the integration of new guest-facing technologies.

Our scope also included the restoration of the original Italian marble flooring, previously concealed under carpet for many years. This beautifully reinstated feature now plays a central role in the overall aesthetic of the space.

It has been incredibly rewarding to see this transformation take shape. Feedback from both the client and guests has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are now progressing with additional Sense of Arrival projects across the wider hotel portfolio.
