A panoramic experience of London’s iconic skyline
We were tasked with creating the perfect setting for first-class, hand-crafted cocktails, bottomless brunch and afternoon tea within the Tower Hotel on the banks of the River Thames with panoramic views of London’s iconic skyline.
The refurbishment and rebrand of VU from the Tower was part of a wider project to update and modernise the interiors of the rest of the hotel, with an aim to elevate the guest experience across the board. The new found curb appeal both from the riverside path beneath the bar and within the hotel below the new bar attracts both hotel guests and members of the public.
The original bar has been replaced with an elegant new curved tiled and brushed brass bar fitting, with hanging glass and bottle displays all beautifully illuminated.
Bespoke booths and original brushed brass arc lamps and feature pendants hanging over the high bar seating help create the perfect ambience for an evening tipple.
A range of seating options have also been included, meaning that no matter the occasion guests can always find the perfect spot. High seating near the bar is perfect for a quick pre dinner drink, and lounge chairs around the perimeter to make the most of the view. Existing deep window reveals have been transformed into upholstered window seating providing the best view in the house.
An existing raised area with new lounge style seating has been completely transformed using printed mirror set into panelling adding a textural layer reflecting features of the interior and gives a greater sense of space and light to a once underused dark space.
Despite facing the challenge of working within a busy hotel, the project team completed the project on time and on budget.
Reflecting on the project Abi concluded: “This was a prestigious project to be involved in, and to be working with this client after many years is great. The project team understood the vision and let us get to work.”
